Training In The Midst Of Pandemic

On its 12th year of operations, Keitech had 28 scholars enrolled under the Batch 12 Regular Training Program. These scholars are mainly supported by PASAR Foundation, Inc.

The trainees upon their arrival to the training center were subject to the Foundation’s quarantine protocols. They were subject to a 14-day quarantine in their dormitories which occupies 12 trainees per male dormitory and 4 trainees for the female dormitory. After which, they underwent a Rapid Diagnostic Test. After the result came out negative, only then were they allowed to go out of their dormitories.

As the Foundation’s way of following the COVID-19 protocols implemented by the government, we conducted their Training Induction Program whilst they were on quarantine so as to maximize also their time. Their skills training began right after their quarantine.

The trainees under the Metals and Engineering Sector will undergo two (2) qualifications: Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Electrical Installation & Maintenance. Their training will last for 5 months followed by a 3-month on-the-job training. The trainees will also undergo the Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Training.
